If we feel something bad in our body we should never ignore this. Because health is wealth we should invest in our health also.
Like what happened to this frontline nurse who ignored leg cramps for many months. She had no idea that she needs serious medical attention for this.
This is what happened to Sette Buenaventura, 26 years old registered nurse at Salford Royal Hospital in Greater Manchester.
Sette is one of the many frontliners in the world fighting this Covid19 pandemic.
For many months she suffering this Leg Cramps, thinking only that this is the only effect of standing for almost a day because of her duty as a frontliner.
She didn’t consider her own health because she prioritizes her patients more than her own self.
Sette only gives more attention to her health when the pain is becoming more and more and she finds it hard to walk.
After getting an MRI, the doctor told her that she had a Sarcoma in her right leg.
sarcoma is a rare kind of cancer. Sarcomas are different from the much more common carcinomas because they happen in a different kind of tissue. Sarcomas grow in connective tissue — cells that connect or support other kinds of tissue in your body.
The Sarcoma had grown already by the size of a golf ball.
Sadly, the only option she had is to amputate her right leg so that she can survive this cancer.
Sette said that she had no idea she will suffer things like this, especially she works in a hospital as a medical staff or a frontliner who gives medical attention to others.
“When they told me I had to have one of the legs removed, I got very upset’, the nurse from Eccles said. But because I had no time to think about it. I just got on with it, knowing I didn’t have a choice.’
As of now the modern hero had already her artificial leg or prosthetic legs and expecting to return on the battlefield this November.
Health is Wealth, this is why we should give attention to our health. We should not ignore what we feel inside or out of our body to prevent something like this or much worse.
